Stainless steel pipes have become a key player after years of development.

They serve two main purposes: some are crucial for heat exchange, like those in condensers and evaporators, while others are used in indoor and outdoor units without heat transfer needs.

Interestingly, the latter category opens doors for stainless steel pipes to replace copper ones, offering potential energy savings due to steel’s lower thermal conductivity (1/8.5 of copper’s). Initially, each air conditioner consumes around 1.5kg of piping, with outdoor units using about 0.5kg and indoor/outdoor connecting pipes using 1.0kg.
If successfully replaced, this could create significant opportunities for the stainless steel pipe industry and save valuable copper resources for the nation.
